Primary Section
The Primary Section forms the foundation of a child’s education. It is where students develop essential skills in literacy, numeracy, and social interaction, while being introduced to values, discipline, and cultural identity.
In National Tamil Schools, the primary section emphasizes Tamil language proficiency, bilingual exposure, and holistic growth
Secondary Section
The Secondary Section is the stage where students transition from foundational learning to advanced academic and personal development.
It prepares them for national examinations, higher education, and future careers, while also nurturing leadership, creativity, and social responsibility.
G.C.E. O/L & G.C.E. A/L
The Ordinary Level (O/L) and Advanced Level (A/L) examinations form the backbone of Sri Lanka’s education system, guiding students through critical stages of academic growth.
The O/L, taken at Grade 11, provides a strong foundation in core subjects such as Tamil, Mathematics, Science, and History, ensuring that students acquire essential knowledge and skills before progressing further.
G.C.E A/L Streams
Science Stream
Practical experiments and research projects are central to this stream, encouraging innovation and scientific thinking. Preparing them for careers in medicine.
Commerce Stream
The Commerce stream emphasizes Accounting, Business Studies, and Economics, giving students a strong foundation in finance and management.
Arts Stream
The Arts stream offers a wide range of subjects including Tamil, English, History, Geography, and Political Science. It encourages creativity, cultural appreciation, and critical thinking.
